Dave Swarbrick joins Fairport in July 1969 and Dave Mattacks in August 1969

Everything is now set, the players are in place, this is the Fairport line-up that would record, according to the BBC's Top 50 all time greatest folk albums, the Number 1, the greatest folk-rock album of them all, Liege and Lief, and I personally won't argue with that statement.I can safely say that it is my favourite album, of all time.Thirty-three years later, it still sounds as good as it did, on the day of release.
